Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood specimens through venipuncture and skin puncture with accuracy and patient comfort.
  • Prepare specimens for analysis and forward them to referral laboratories or other departments.
  • Process non-blood specimens carefully and package them for transport according to guidelines.
  • Register patients, manage test data using the Laboratory Information System, and greet patients for collection procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations and communicate low stock levels to the supervisor.

    • Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 education
  • Completion of a Medical Laboratory Assistant training program
  • Proven venipuncture experience in a healthcare setting
