Your Opportunity: This is an exciting clinical leadership opportunity within the Edmonton Zone Allied Health Community department supporting the Pediatric Community Rehab Team. The Team Lead develops and maintains strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders in order to provide leadership and support to the Pediatric Community Rehab program. The successful candidate will work closely with the Allied Health leadership team to support staff in the provision of seamless, high quality and sustainable client care.Description: As an Occupational Therapist II, you will be responsible for the coordination of occupational therapy and other allied health clinical services within a program or service area. You will provide supervision of students and team members as assigned. As an Occupational Therapist II, you will be responsible to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team where you will be an integral member, providing leadership to other healthcare professionals. You will be making daytoday clinical decisions on patient/family needs regarding assessment, intervention, discharge and followup. You will make decisions and advise team members on complex clinical cases and provide clinical leadership within the program or service area to ensure safe, efficient and effective client care. You will ensure occupational therapy practice is evidencebased and in alignment with Alberta legislation and regulations, professional standards of practice, code of ethics and AHS policy and guidelines. You will be providing coordination of the daytoday operations of an assigned service area and monitoring care delivery, identifying service needs and assisting other medical staff with caseload management, completing chart audits and providing followup and feedback to staff. Required Qualifications:Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program and related experience.
