Providence Care Hospital is seeking a Clinical Extern and Student Pathway Supervisor for a temporary full-time position lasting up to 18 months. The supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the Enhanced Extern Program, nursing externs, mobility externs, student placement coordination, and recruitment and retention programs for nursing and allied health. The ideal candidate will have a degree in a Health Care Discipline, current registration with the Ontario professional college, recent clinical experience, and leadership experience in a healthcare setting.

Facilitate recruitment processes and create job descriptions

 23 years of recent clinical experience in rehabilitation, mental health, geriatrics and/or complex medicine
 Current CPR certificate

 Experience working with clinical students in a formal leadership position, preferred
 Experience in project management and project implementation an asset

 Facilitates the recruitment of new staff, in coordination with Human Resources to create job descriptions and coordinate recruitment, interviewing, hiring and orientation
 Participates with and supports the direction and vision of Academic Clinician, Nursing Research Lead and the Patient &amp; Client Care Portfolio, by actively engaging staff in the achievement of strategic and operational priorities, goals and objectives and demonstrating/reinforcing the Mission, Vision &amp; Values of the organization in all aspects of care delivery
