Are you a physician interested in playing a leadership role in preventing workplace injury and disease in British Columbia? WorkSafeBC is seeking a Medical Advisor to join their team in the Medical Services department. In this role, you will collaborate with various professionals to help injured workers recover, rehabilitate, and safely return to work. Your responsibilities will include evaluating medical impairments, providing medical recommendations, and working in a team environment to support injured workers.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate medical impairments and disabilities through review of electronic records and provide opinions on cause, diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis

Provide evidence-based medical recommendations to adjudicating officers

Collaborate with community physicians to ensure workers' rehabilitation needs are met

Work in a case-management team environment with medical and non-medical colleagues

Qualifications:

Eligible for full licensure by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia

Minimum of five years of clinical practice experience

Interest in rehabilitation, mental health, or occupational medicine

Strong communication skills

Eligible for full licensure by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia
 A minimum of five years of experience in clinical practice including family medicine, sports medicine, or emergency medicine and an an interest in rehabilitation, mental health, or occupational medicine

 Willing to work in a teambased environment
 Excellent communication skills
