Description:

Located at Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, BC, the Clinical Pharmacist position at Vancouver Island Health Authority focuses on providing clinical pharmacy services and pharmaceutical care. The role involves reporting to the Pharmacy Site Coordinator and working under the supervision of the Site and/or Clinical Coordinator to ensure patient safety and improve quality and safety.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Licensed by, or eligible for licensing by the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.
  • Completion of an Accredited Pharmacy Residency or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Ability to identify and resolve drug therapy problems.
  • Ability to apply clinical knowledge and make sound decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with healthcare professionals, patients, and family members.
  • Effective communication skills in verbal and written forms.
  • Self-directed with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to teach and operate related equipment, including computerized office software applications.
  • Physically and emotionally capable of fulfilling the duties of the position.

    • Island Health is seeking a qualified individual to join their team as a Clinical Pharmacist, with a salary range of $51.37 - $64.19 per hour for a full-time temporary position. The successful candidate will contribute to patient safety and quality improvement initiatives while providing essential clinical pharmacy services.
