Description:

Hamilton Health Sciences is seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant to collect specimens for laboratory testing on both inpatients and outpatients. The Lab Assistant will perform various tasks to support technologists in the Department of Laboratory Medicine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proper collection of specimens for testing
  • Assist technologists in various laboratory sections

    • Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 education or equivalent
  • OSMT Certified Medical Laboratory Assistant Certificate
  • Minimum 3 years of recent experience
  • Experience in handling laboratory specimens
  • Proficiency in blood collection and other body fluids
  • Data entry and Order entry skills in Meditech
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
