As a Registered Nurse (RN) at High River Hospital, you will provide a wide range of nursing services to patients, families, and communities, ensuring their safety and well-being. You will use critical thinking and decision-making skills to implement nursing processes, while also teaching, counseling, and advocating for patients and families. In addition, you will play a leadership role in supporting holistic patient care and health promotion. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in both the dynamic Emergency Department and Maternity Department, providing care across the lifespan. The RN will also support patient care requirements in Day Surgery and other clinical areas as needed.

Provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations

Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited nursing education program
Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
Emergency experience greater than 6 months and/or Obstetrical experience greater than 9 months
Previous medical inpatient experience
Effective communication skills
Able to work independently and collaboratively
Demonstrated strength in working with diverse cultural and marginalized populations
Ability to tolerate physical demands of the job, including lifting, pushing, and pulling objects over 50lbs
Preferred qualifications include Rural Acute Care and/or Rural ER experience, current certifications in various healthcare programs, and previous experience as a Charge Nurse or Preceptor
