Description:

Nova Scotia Health is seeking a Health Care Social Worker to join their team at the Abbie J. Lane Memorial Building in Central Zone. This position is full-time and permanent, offering a competitive hourly wage. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing collaborative, holistic care to patients across the primary to quaternary care continuum, focusing on psychosocial, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers, and at least 2 years of post-graduate clinical experience. Knowledge of the Diagnostic & Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) and experience working with clients with mental health and addiction concerns is preferred. Strong communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively with community partners, and fluency in French are considered assets.
