Description:

As a Registered Nurse at Cornwall Community Hospital, you will be responsible for delivering safe, effective, patient-centered, ethical, and evidenced-based nursing care. This role involves assisting patients and the community in managing clinical conditions, transitions, and maximizing self-care abilities. The RN will also act as a resource for the care team and cover absences on any unit for the duration of the shift.

Requirements for this position include holding a current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and a commitment to living the Mission and Values of Cornwall Community Hospital. Additionally, candidates should have at least two years of experience in an acute medical and/or surgical setting.

  • Qualifications:

  • Superior interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team

  • Ability to teach and mentor other healthcare professionals
  • Completion of mandatory training as required
  • Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (asset)
  • Experience in dialysis (asset)
  • Functional level in oral French (asset)
