VON Canada in Peterborough, Ontario is seeking a Personal Support Worker (PSW) for a permanent, full-time position in the Assisted Living program. The PSW will provide personal support and homemaking services to clients and families, collaborating with the health care team to promote independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Observes and evaluates client and family needs
Contributes to the development of care plans
Implements changes to care plans for safety and financial reasons
Performs personal support tasks and provides personal care
Provides respite care and supports clients' families
Completes daily call checks and other necessary forms
Assesses communication patterns and ability to relate
Functions in compliance with health and safety regulations
Other duties as assigned

Education, Designations, and Experience:
High school diploma
CCA Certification required in Nova Scotia
Certificate in Home Support Worker, PSW program, or Health Care Aide
Current First Aid or CPR certification
Post-secondary degree or diploma an asset
Experience in household management and working with elderly or ill individuals
Skill Requirements:
