As a member of the Satellite Health Facility, the Healthcare Aide provides clinical support in patient care areas, following the job description for Healthcare Aides.
Qualifications:
Personal Support Worker or Health Care Aide Certificate, or nursing student with successful completion of all Level 2 courses of an accredited BScN program, or successful completion of semester 2 courses of a Practical Nursing program, including Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs).
Adherence to HHS' Values Based Code of Conduct and behavioral expectations.
Documentation according to HHS policies and procedures.
Demonstrated knowledge, skill, initiative, and judgment to perform tasks safely, effectively, and ethically.
Reporting observations and patient information to the primary HCP when necessary, notifying of any changes in patient status or need for assistance.
Reporting equipment concerns and environmental safety issues.
Computer familiarity or willingness to learn required computer skills.
Effective communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
Ability to set priorities and organize work effectively.
Ability to collaborate with various hospital departments.
Ability to lift using appropriate techniques and use good body mechanics for bending, pushing, and pulling.
