Description:

TTM Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Lab Technician to perform microsection of PCB and evaluate plated-thru-hole quality of in-process and finished products. The Lab Tech will conduct lab analysis using various equipment and report findings to Plating Managers and Process Engineers. This position requires working the Midnight shift from Wednesday to Sunday.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Read and interpret customer print requirements.

Evaluate dielectric thickness, plasma etchback, copper plating thickness, and trace widths.

Perform lab analysis and special tests of chemicals used in the wet process areas.

Maintain accurate records of currents baths on the production floor.

Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on lab equipment.

Conduct ionic contamination tests, solderability tests, and thermal stress tests.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Knowledgeable in laboratory procedures.

Able to work independently and follow documented procedures.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience with PWB acceptability standards, IPC, and MIL-P-5510 specifications preferred.

Laboratory experience preferred but not mandatory.

 Mall all chemical additions and bath makeups.
 Complete all internal departmental documentation accurately as required and maintain production logs and test reports.
 Keep accurate up to date records regarding currents baths on production floor.
 Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on most lab equipment, chemical controllers, pumps and other lab related equipment.
 Interacts with vendors and visitors.
 Perform lab inventory and identify chemicals and equipment needed to order.
 Conducting ionic contamination test.
 Sorting and labelling microsection coupons as required.
 Conducting solderability tests and thermal stress tests.
