Description:

Nova Scotia Health is seeking a Unit Aide for the MHA CZ Sleep Disorders Clinic at the Abbie J. Lane Memorial Building. The Unit Aide will be responsible for ordering, stocking, and maintaining supplies and equipment to meet patient needs while ensuring a safe environment through infection control practices. This role also provides direct and indirect support for patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Ordering, stocking, and maintaining supplies and equipment

Understanding and implementing infection control practices

Providing direct and indirect support for patient care

Qualifications:

Grade XII education

Understanding of hospital cleanliness importance

Ability to establish good relationships

Good judgement and initiative

Effective communication skills

Competencies in other languages, French preferred

Hours:

Part-time (40%) - 30 hours bi-weekly

Long assignment - Approximately 13 months

Compensation and Benefits:

$21.68 - $24.54 hourly

Eligible for health, dental, travel, disability, life insurance, and pension plan

Reporting directly to the Health Services Manager, the Unit Aide is responsible for ordering, stocking and/or maintaining all supplies and equipment to meet the needs of patients in their designated work area. An understanding of the basic principles of infection control is essential and key to providing a safe environment for patients and staff alike. This role also provides indirect and direct support for patient care.About You We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
