Reports to: Manager, Allied Health & Geriatrics

Salary Range: $43.47 to $54.34

Hours: Anywhere between 0 - 37.5 hours per week

Shifts: Within 8.00am - 4.00pm, 4-8pm and 8am-8pm on Weekdays and Weekends

Status: Casual

Closing Date: February 12, 2026

Duties:

Provides assessment and treatment of acute care emergency and in-patients at the Toronto Western Hospital

Provides evidence-based and patient-centered practice to patients

Supports the development and implementation of best practice models of occupational therapy

Works with multidisciplinary teams

Participates in clinical education of occupational therapy students

Participates in Allied Health meetings and quality initiatives

Provides assessment and treatment for patients across various hospital areas

Qualifications:

Masters of Science degree in Occupational Therapy, or equivalent

Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO)

Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists' membership, preferred

Previous experience in an acute care Hospital environment, preferred

Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) certification, preferred

Excellent interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills

Must be physically capable of performing daily activities associated with patient care and occupational therapy treatment

Experience in assessment and treatment of various patient types

Demonstrated appropriate communication skills

Computer literacy

 In cooperation with other members of the occupational therapy inpatient team, provides assessment and treatment for patients across the hospital as required, areas of coverage may include:

Emergency Department, Neurovascular, Neurology, Neurosurgery, General Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Geriatrics, and ICU

Qualifications

Masters of Science degree in Occupational Therapy, or equivalent
 Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO)
 Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists' membership, preferred
 Previous experience in an acute care Hospital environment, preferred
