Cambridge Memorial Hospital is seeking a Personal Support Worker to provide care for patients and support patient flow within the hospital. The ideal candidate will communicate effectively with patients, staff, and families, while ensuring outstanding customer service. Responsibilities include assisting patients with daily activities, measuring vital signs, and documenting care provided. This position requires working all shifts, including days, nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist patients with activities of daily living
Measure vital signs and document care provided
Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and families
Work co-operatively with team members and follow hospital policies
Demonstrate professional responsibility and uphold standards
Qualifications:
Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate required
Registered with the Health and Supporting Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSPCOA)
Current BCLS Certification
2-3 years of experience as a Personal Support Worker
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and attend work regularly
Excellent communication skills and dedication to continuous learning
Proficient computer skills and experience with Meditech system preferred
Knowledge of routine practices related to Infection Control
