Description:

We are seeking an experienced occupational therapist to join our team in the Special Care Services department. As a clinical resource, you will be part of an interdisciplinary case management team dedicated to providing high-quality service to severely injured workers. Your role will involve assisting them in developing and maintaining independence in self-care, vocational rehabilitation, and daily living activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Apply theoretical knowledge to assess, interpret, plan, and implement health care services for clients with physical or mental health conditions

Conduct onsite visits to injured workers, worksites, and external service providers to review services

Provide clinical support during team meetings

Oversee complex physical or mental health claims and monitor return to work plans

Collaborate with external stakeholders for stay-at-work programs and return to work planning

Deliver education sessions to internal and external audiences

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia

Minimum of six years of clinical OT experience in areas such as physical health, neurology, mental health, brain injury, amputation, or spinal cord injury

Ability to travel throughout the region and hold a valid B.C. driver's license

Important to Know:

Must meet legal requirements under the Criminal Records Review Act

Legally entitled to work in Canada
