We have an exciting opportunity for Registered Nurses to join our rural acute care team at Lacombe Hospital & Care Centre. Nurses will have the chance to work in both Acute Care and ER settings, providing a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations. The multidisciplinary team works closely together to meet the needs of residents in Lacombe and surrounding rural areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize nursing processes through critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making
Teach, counsel, and advocate for patients and their families
Support an integrated and holistic approach to patient care and health promotion
Provide safe, quality patient and family-centered care
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited nursing education program
Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
Completion of required free courses if not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the past five years
Preferred qualifications include Rural Acute Care and ER experience, Charge Nurse Experience, CTAS, Lead II, ACLS or equivalent, and completion of ENPEP modules
