University of British Columbia is seeking a Clinical Research Lab Coordinator for the Azar Laboratory in the Department of Psychiatry within the Faculty of Medicine. The Coordinator will oversee day-to-day operations, manage team members, apply for grant funding, and coordinate various research projects focusing on opioid agonist treatment protocols and medical devices for mental health and substance use disorders.
The Coordinator will report to the Principal Investigator, Dr. Azar, and work closely with the Clinical Associate and Planner, and Research Scientist. Responsibilities include coordinating research projects, enforcing project goals and protocols, obtaining regulatory documents, monitoring data collection and analysis, and identifying funding opportunities.
Minimum qualifications include an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline and two years of related experience. Preferred qualifications include a degree in Psychology, Health Sciences, Statistics, or Computer Science, experience in epidemiologic research methods, budgeting, and financial administration. Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SPSS, and Adobe Acrobat is required.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently and in a team environment, lead meetings, analyze research findings, and collaborate with partners from diverse disciplines. Strong communication skills and a commitment to diversity and inclusion are essential for this position.
