Description:

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services in the Coronary Intensive Care Unit (CICU) at Royal Alexandra Hospital. The CICU is a specialized critical care environment focused on managing patients with severe cardiac conditions. Your role will involve advanced hemodynamic monitoring, support for patients with various cardiac issues, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

You will utilize nursing processes, critical thinking, and problem-solving to ensure patient safety and well-being. Your responsibilities will include teaching, counseling, and advocating for patients and their families. Additionally, you will play a leadership role in promoting integrated and holistic patient care.

• Required Qualifications:

• - Completion of an accredited nursing education program
• - Active or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta
• - Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider certification
• - Recent Critical Care experience or 2 years of inpatient nursing with successful OPACCA training
• - Successful completion of clinical competencies and patient care demonstration

• Preferred Qualifications:

• - Charge nurse experience
• - Active ACLS certification
