WoodGreen is seeking a Personal Support Worker to join their team in providing support services to clients in their own homes or in assisted living settings. The PSW will work based on program needs and client preferences, delivering services in a professional and culturally sensitive manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Recognize and work based on program needs and client preferences
Comply with agency, unit, and program policies and procedures
Provide services authorized by the Supervisor and within scope of practice
Maintain health and safety standards
Report any work-related injuries promptly
Use Alayacare Mobile Application for scheduling
Communicate effectively with program staff, co-workers, and clients
Prepare meals, document accurately, and respond to maintenance issues
Support clients in maximizing physical and mental abilities
Qualifications:
Personal Support Worker Certificate and NACC Certificate
Minimum one year experience providing personal care

Comprehensive understanding of ADLs and iADLs
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility, sound judgment, and familiarity with behavioural management
Knowledge of gerontology, healthcare systems, and food safety handling
Physical capability for job demands and First Aid/CPR certification
Ability to use technology for service delivery and maintain professionalism
