Description:

LMC Healthcare is seeking a Medical Assistant/Medical Office Administrator to work on a temporary full-time basis at the LMC Etobicoke clinic in Ontario. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for preparing patients for evaluations, coordinating patient flow, and promoting comprehensive care. The Medical Office Administrator will handle check-in/out duties, manage phone calls, and maintain health records.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares the patient for the provider's evaluation
  • Reviews patient's medication list and records medical history
  • Coordinates patient flow within the clinic
  • Ensures patient's required investigations are available
  • Prepares examination rooms and downloads diabetes devices
  • Assists with administrative duties and attends meetings
  • Performs check-in/out duties and manages phone calls
  • Coordinates patient visits and schedules referrals
  • Maintains office supplies and responds to inquiries
  • Processes patient accounts and completes third party forms
  • Assists with administrative duties and attends meetings
  • Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting
  • Proficient in medication review and Electronic Medical Records
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and computer skills
  • The compensation range for this position is $18-$20/hourly, based on credentials and experience. LMC Healthcare does not use Artificial Intelligence for candidate selection.
