CASA Classrooms: This program operates within community schools, providing individual and group therapy, psychiatric care, medication management, and schooling tailored to each student's needs. CASA Classrooms represent a new model for school-based mental health services delivered in collaboration with the Government of Alberta, community partners, and school divisions.

Job Details: The Mental Health Therapist role at CASA Mental Health offers a wage range of $44.03 to $56.50 per hour, with an additional $9 per hour CASA Classrooms premium. The position is based in Red Deer, with a Monday to Friday shift structure and permanent status.

About the Role: The Mental Health Therapist collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver clinical services, treatment planning, interventions, and discharge transitions. Responsibilities include providing high-quality mental health therapies, conducting assessments, designing treatment plans, and supervising student placements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, or occupational therapy
  • Active registration with relevant professional bodies
  • Minimum of two years of clinical practice in child and family mental health
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Conditions of Employment:

  • Satisfactory Criminal Records Check and Child Intervention Check
  • Ability to pass and maintain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention certification
