Responsibilities:
Manage patient flow and hospital capacity.
Liaise with all units/areas to support hospital and nursing operations.
Ensure effective communication with healthcare professionals and family members.
Maintain professional development of self and staff.
Respond to codes and act as site commander for emergent issues.
Perform cross-functional duties as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Master's degree preferred.
Current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Five years of relevant experience, including three years in an acute care setting.
Demonstrated leadership experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to make effective decisions and solve problems.
Knowledge of professional standards and quality assurance guidelines.
Experience working in a unionized environment preferred.
