Located at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital in Nanaimo, BC, the Surgical Care Nurse position involves providing nursing care to patients in a multidisciplinary healthcare team. The role requires assessing, planning, and evaluating patient care to ensure safety and quality.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant
Post-basic education in surgical/ambulatory care nursing or equivalent combination of education and training
Up to two years of recent, related experience
Basic Life Support, Level C certification

Ability to apply nursing process as required
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and teaching skills
Sound judgement, observation, and patient assessment skills
Demonstrated tact, empathy, and ability to prioritize patient care needs
