Description:

Eneon is seeking a BESS Commissioning Technologist to oversee the commissioning and maintenance of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across North America. This role involves working with a cross-functional team to ensure BESS systems are installed, tested, and operated according to Eneon's standards and client specifications.

Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and servicing BESS units, maintaining punch list items, addressing maintenance events, analyzing process cycle-times and productivity metrics, and providing technical guidance to enhance system quality and performance. The technologist will also cultivate relationships with clients and third-party resources, implement process improvement tools, and stay current on technology and operation techniques.

Required qualifications include a proven HSE mentality, at least 4 years of experience in industrial electrical power systems, a bachelor's degree or technical diploma in engineering, knowledge of electrical/mechanical designs and codes/standards, prior experience with energy storage devices, strong troubleshooting skills, exceptional communication skills, time management skills, diplomacy, a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel within North America.

Knowledge of NEC, CEC, UL9540, NFPA 855 standards, prior experience with renewable energy systems, and a P.Eng. or C.E.T. designation are considered assets for this position.
