AtkinsRealis is seeking a Mechanical Technologist-Developing to join their engineering team in Sheridan Park, Mississauga, Ontario. Reporting to the Retube Tooling manager, the role involves supporting Refurbishment or New build projects on the Retube Tooling team.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a safe and clean working environment following company procedures.
Assist in assembly, repairing, and maintaining nuclear inspection or maintenance tooling.
Participate in tooling/equipment testing programs.
Prepare route sheet traveler records and edit documents.
Complete prioritized work requests on time.
Become a Nuclear Energy Worker (NEW).
Travel to vendor and project sites if required.
Support shift work (day/night) if needed.
Work well in a team environment and promote a positive work culture.
Qualifications:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology.
1-3 years of related technical experience.
Certificate of qualification from College of Trades and Apprenticeship.
Computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Experience with hand tools and common shop equipment.
Effective communication and organization skills.
Knowledge of engineering design principles.
Forklift and overhead crane experience is an asset.
Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics preferred.
Security clearance will be required.
