Description:

CancerCare Manitoba is seeking an Oncology Nurse to provide holistic cancer care to patients in the ambulatory setting. The ideal candidate will collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team, administer treatments, and ensure patient/family education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in patient/family education
  • Make pertinent nursing assessments
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team
  • Provide appropriate interventions
  • Work with cytotoxic and hazardous medications
  • Qualifications:

  • Current registration with College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba
  • Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Knowledge of Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics
  • Proficient with computers and software programs
  • Bachelor of Nursing preferred
  • Three (3) years' experience in medical/surgical or ambulatory care preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with oncology preferred
  • Ability to speak French an asset
  • Certified Oncology Nurse (CON(C)) an asset
