As a Lab Technician, you will be responsible for conducting laboratory testing procedures, operating sensitive instruments, performing sample preparation and testing, recording data accurately, and maintaining a clean and safe laboratory environment. You will also assist in ordering supplies, following safety protocols, and collaborating with the QA/QC team.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct various laboratory testing procedures in accordance with SOPs

Handle and operate sensitive laboratory instruments

Perform sample preparation, testing, and data interpretation

Maintain equipment records and laboratory logbooks

Follow laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean environment

Support method development and validation for new formulations

Collaborate with the QA/QC team and production staff

Qualifications:

College Diploma or University Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a Lab Technician Program

Minimum 2 years of experience in a laboratory or industrial environment

Strong analytical mindset and ability to follow SOPs

Proficiency in MS Office for data analysis

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to prioritize tasks, manage responsibilities, and work independently

Summary:

Reponsible for receiving, labeling, and testing samples and products formulated in the facility. This role involves operating various laboratory instruments, performing quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) tests, and ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety regulations.

Job Duties:

Conduct various laboratory testing procedures in accordance with SOPs to verify product quality and compliance.
 Handle and operate sensitive laboratory instruments, including but not limited to: Gas Chromatography (GC), Liquid Chromatography (LC, HPLC), pH meters, Analytical balances, Spectrophotometers (UVVis, IR, etc.), Viscometers, Titration equipment, Moisture analyzers, Density meters, Karl Fischer Titrators (if applicable)
 Perform sample preparation, testing, and data interpretation with precision and accuracy.
 Record all test results and analytical data in the designated formats.
 Maintain and update equipment records and daily laboratory logbooks.
 Assist in ordering laboratory supplies and ensure proper calibration and maintenance of instruments.
 Follow all laboratory safety protocols, including proper handling of corrosive, flammable, and hazardous chemicals.
 Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient laboratory environment in accordance with company policies.
 Support method development and validation for new formulations as required.
 Collaborate with the QA/QC team and production staff to address qualityrelated concerns.
 Other duties related to product quality testing and laboratory operations, as required.

Required Knowledge/Experience:

College Diploma or University Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a Lab Technician Program (Postgraduate degrees will be given preference).
 Minimum 2 years of experience in a laboratory and/or industrial environment.
 Understanding of laboratory quality control programs and compliance requirements.
 Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments.
 Strong analytical mindset with the ability to follow SOPs precisely.
 Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) for data analysis; strong mathematical knowledge is an asset.
 Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
 Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
 A proactive and trustworthy individual who can work independently and within a team.

Working Conditions:

Given the nature of production, shift work may be required during peak seasons, depending on production schedules.
 Work is performed in both a laboratory and a busy plant facility.
 Prolonged periods of standing and conducting tests may be necessary.
 Must be able to lift at least 15 lbs occasionally.
 Overtime, as required
