The Cardiac and Renal Inpatient Unit at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre is seeking a Registered Nurse to join their team. The unit provides care to a variety of patients, including those with cardiac, renal, respiratory, gastrointestinal, and geriatric conditions. The multidisciplinary team ensures all patient concerns are addressed and provides necessary support and resources.

The Registered Nurse float position will provide support to the Cardiac and Renal unit and offer staffing flexibility across the organization as needed.

Job Requirements:

Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario

Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)

Coronary Care I (CC1)

Computer literacy in current software applications

Commitment to professional growth and development

Commitment to continuous quality improvement and customer service

Preferred:

Telemetry/ECG experience

Coronary Care II (CC2)

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Membership in Professional Association specific to Cardiac and Renal care

The Cardiac and Renal Inpatient Unit is a 32bed unit comprised of 20 telemetry beds, includes private, semiprivate, and ward patient rooms. The team provides care to a wide variety of medical patients, including but not limited to, cardiac requiring telemetry monitoring, renal requiring hemodialysis and/or peritoneal dialysis, respiratory requiring continuous oximetry, gastrointestinal, general medicine, diabetes, and complex geriatric.The Cardiac and Renal team ensures that all patient concerns are addressed and provides support and resources when needed. The multidisciplinary team includes physicians, RNs, RPNs, pharmacist, social worker, dietitian, discharge planner, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, home and community care, clinical externs, and patient service clerks.As a Registered Nurse (RN), you are a professional caregiver who is responsible and accountable for providing quality patient care within a delivery model in accordance with the philosophy, policies and standards of care of the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH), the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and all relevant legislation.The Registered Nurse float position will provide support to Cardiac and Renal and in addition will provide staffing flexibility across the organization as required.Job Requirements
