Providence Health Care's Mental Health Program is seeking casual Peer Support Workers to join various teams within the organization. This role involves providing support to patients with mental health and substance use disorders, utilizing a harm reduction approach. Peer Support Workers will work in a collaborative interdisciplinary team environment that values community and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Peer-Based Emotional Support & Advocacy
  • Facilitate Access to Services & Cultural Supports
  • Promote Culturally Safe, Trauma-Informed Care
  • Support Peer and System-Wide Initiatives
  • Qualifications:

  • A recognized Certificate in Social Services or Addiction Service Worker with one year of related experience
  • Lived or living experience relevant to the client group served
  • Completion of a recognized Peer Support Training program

    Your day to day:
