This job posting is for a Nurse II position with Prairie Mountain Health sites in Manitoba. The ideal candidate must have an active practicing licensure with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba or be eligible for it. They should also have current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Training, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Provider and Renewal, Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Provider and Recertification, and knowledge of the Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS).

The Nurse II will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients/residents/clients in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. They must practice in a manner consistent with professional obligations and follow the Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses, as well as other relevant legislation.

Responsibilities:

  • Practice in accordance with the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA) or the Registered Psychiatric Nurse Act of Manitoba.
  • Adhere to the Standards of Practice set by the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba or the College of Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba.
  • Maintain entry-level competencies for RNs or RPNs.
  • Follow the Professional Code of Ethics.
  • Obtain and maintain relevant competencies for the position offered by PMH.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
