Description:

Black & McDonald Limited is actively seeking a Health & Safety Onsite Advisor to evaluate and monitor health and safety hazards and develop control strategies for Industrial, Commercial & Institutional Sector job sites. This position requires working independently to inspect construction, industrial, and commercial workplaces to ensure compliance with company/client policies, government legislation, and industry best practice standards.

This exciting role provides you with the opportunity to:

Conduct safety and environmental audits

Inspect worksites to ensure equipment and materials do not present safety or health hazards

Review and investigate problems not resolved by site supervisors

Participate in the development and implementation of health and safety programs

Provide consultation and deliver training programs to employees on health and safety issues

What you bring:

3-5 years' experience in the HSE related field, specifically on construction sites

Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or Environmental Studies

Working knowledge of provincial and federal HSE regulations, programs, and standards

Training in Fall Protection/Working at Heights, First-Aid/CPR, Confined Space, Electrical Awareness, Asbestos Awareness are assets

Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and other HSE databases

NCSO, CUSP, CRSP designations are assets

Ability to recognize hazards and advise on safe work methods

Ability to understand technical drawings/systems

The expected salary range for this role is between $70,000 - $95,000 per year. The starting salary will be determined based on qualifications, including education, experience, and mobility. Base pay is one component of Black &amp; McDonald's total rewards package. Total rewards vary by position and may include additional offerings such as group insurance benefits, pension plan, annual discretionary bonus, career development programs, and other HR programs.
