This job posting is for a full-time term position in Whitehorse, Yukon, working in Health Safety & Emergency Management. The role involves building a resilient health system to respond to emergency events. The Health Emergency Management Planner will coordinate and implement emergency management plans, provide training programs, and support emergency management programs.

The position reports to the Manager, Health Safety and Emergency Management and requires being on standby and available 24/7 on a rotating basis. Collaboration with internal partners, First Nations, and local municipalities is essential.

Essential qualifications include post-secondary education in public health or related fields, Incident Command System Training, experience in emergency management planning, project management, and training development. Conditions of employment include holding a Yukon Class 5 Driver's license, WHMIS 2015 certification, and Incident Command System Training I-200. Job requirements involve lifting 20 lbs and willingness to travel within the territory with short notice.
