Description:

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations, ensuring their safety and well-being. Utilizing critical thinking and decision-making skills, you will teach, counsel, and advocate for patients and their families. Your role will involve supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance. You will deliver safe, quality patient and family-centered care while reflecting shared vision and values.

Provisional Permit holders will be paid $40.76 to $55.79 per hour. Upon obtaining a full practice permit, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii), as applicable.

  • Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited nursing education program
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
  • 2 years in the last 5 of critical care experience
  • Demonstrated competency in a high-acuity interventional cardiac environment
  • Completion of recognized Critical Care Course
  • Current certifications in defibrillation, ECG interpretation, temporary pacing, and advanced hemodynamics
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Recent Cardiac Cath Lab or Cardiology CCU experience
  • Recent ICU experience
  • Experience in interventional cardiology or procedural nursing environments
  • Completion of recognized Critical Care Course
  • Strong familiarity with high-acuity cardiac monitoring and emergency response systems
