Description:

Join Alberta's Graduate Nurse Transition Pilot Program to kickstart your nursing career. This 12-month program offers two phases: Enhanced Orientation and Independent Practice with Support. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide nursing services, ensure patient safety, utilize critical thinking, and advocate for patients and families.

The role involves leadership in patient care, health promotion, and maintenance, while reflecting the organization's vision and values. Provisional Permit holders will receive $40.76 to $55.79 per hour and will transition to the applicable RN rate upon obtaining a full practice permit.

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited nursing education program
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
  • Eligibility for Graduate Nurses, Graduate Psychiatric Nurses, Registered Nurses, and Registered Psychiatric Nurses who have graduated within 12 months prior to the program start date
  • Additional Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a multidisciplinary setting
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • High motivation to become self-directed
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pediatric and/or Neonatal experience
  • Labour and Delivery experience
