The Grande Prairie Cancer Centre Radiation Therapy department is seeking a highly motivated Radiation Therapist II (RTII) to join their patient-focused and collaborative team. The RTII will work under the RT Manager, leading a team of professionals in clinical simulation, treatment, and workload delegation. Responsibilities include ensuring accurate treatment, quality assurance, policy maintenance, and change management. A competitive pay rate and Remote Retention Allowance of up to $3,000 annually are offered.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise Radiation Therapist I's, coach staff, and orientate new team members
Ensure accurate treatment delivery and Quality Assurance procedures
Monitor equipment performance, document issues, and report as needed
Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program in Canada or equivalent
Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologies (ACMDTT)
Additional Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years' experience as an RTI
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Ability to lift and move objects, strong interpersonal and communication skills
Effective team player, ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Varian Radiation Therapy Equipment and Software
