As a Service Worker II at UAH Level 3 OR, you will be responsible for preparing supplies, cleaning instruments, and disinfecting equipment for immediate use by healthcare staff. Your duties will include distributing patient care supplies, conducting quality control tests on equipment, and transporting patients, equipment, and lab specimens. You will also ensure patient care areas are well-stocked and specialty equipment is available for healthcare staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Ready supplies and clean instruments for immediate use by healthcare staff
Distribute and replenish patient care supplies
Perform quality control tests on equipment
Transport patients, equipment, and lab specimens
Report any concerns to Unit Managers
Ensure patient care areas are accurately stocked
Maintain confidentiality of information
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications:
Grade 12 or equivalent
Current Basic Life Support (Level C) certification
Fluency in English
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
Reliability and dependability
Previous experience as a Service Worker II or higher is an asset
Knowledge of anatomy and body mechanics is an asset
