The Central Alberta Cancer Centre in Red Deer is seeking a Radiation Therapist to provide exceptional patient care. The successful candidate will work with advanced equipment and have the opportunity to develop treatment planning skills. This position is open to Radiation Therapists of all experience levels, including new graduates.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver prescribed radiation treatment to patients
Assist in planning patient care under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist
Assess patient reactions to treatment and document plans
Educate patients on treatment procedures and side effects
Maintain patient records and make referrals to other health professionals as needed
Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited program in Radiation Therapy in Canada or an accredited non-Canadian program
Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT)
Additional Required Qualifications:
Active or eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
Ability to perform all physical duties of the position, including lifting and moving for extended periods
