Description:
The Operational Clinical Informatics Lead (OCIL) role provides hands-on clinical informatics leadership and operational support for ambulatory departments within Urban Acute sites, focusing on Connect Care adoption, implementation, and optimization. This position requires advanced clinical experience, deep EMR knowledge, and exceptional communication skills to engage stakeholders effectively and ensure safe, consistent, and sustainable use of Digital Health tools. Responsibilities include troubleshooting complex CIS issues, ensuring compliance with governance standards, leading clinical workflow optimization, and acting as a liaison between Operations and Digital Health teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting ambulatory departments within acute care facilities in managing complex CIS issues
Ensuring compliance with Digital Health governance, standards, and processes
Leading and supporting clinical workflow optimization and business process transformation
Acting as a liaison between Operations and Digital Health teams
Applying structured change management methodologies to support stakeholder engagement
Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree and a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in health informatics
Minimum 10 years of direct clinical experience or equivalent understanding of healthcare delivery
Active membership in good standing with a professional organization
Extensive knowledge of clinical practice, workflows, and clinical informatics functions
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience leading organizational change

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to lead IT and clinical operations staff through complex discussions
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications in management, leadership, or change management
