As an Administrative Support III at Health Shared Services, you will be responsible for providing telecommunication services within the facility and supporting emergency activations. This role involves answering incoming calls, transferring calls to the appropriate person or department, utilizing messaging systems for emergent information, monitoring fire panels, and responding to alarms. You will also support updates to on-call schedules, adhere to privacy legislation, and follow Health Shared Services Information Privacy and Information Security policies. Excellent communication skills, critical thinking, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a high-volume work environment are essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
High School Diploma or recognized equivalent
Medical Terminology certificate required
Minimum typing speed of 40 wpm required
Intermediate computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
Minimum six (6) months of recent experience in a switchboard or call center
Demonstrated proficiency in the English language
Ability to manage difficult situations effectively
Ability to work in a dynamic, high-pressure environment
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Physical requirements include bending, reaching, lifting, and prolonged computer use
