Responsibilities:

Investigate and resolve product variations by applying a scientific approach.

Improve processes through innovation and testing new technologies.

Provide training and technical support to ensure products meet customer expectations.

Identify cost-saving opportunities through process optimization and ingredient substitutions.

Collaborate with various departments to support new product launches and product development/improvement.

Requirements:

Post-Secondary education in Chemistry, Engineering, or Food Science/Engineering.

3-5 years of Bakery Technical experience.

Mechanical aptitude for understanding plant equipment.

Strong analytical skills and fact-based decision-making capability.

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with various levels in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to travel nationally and work flexible hours.

Bilingual in French is an asset.

Requirements

PostSecondary education in the Sciences (Chemistry), Engineering or Food Science/Engineering degree.
 35 years of Bakery Technical experience (knowledge of plant equipment, processes and ingredient functionality).
 Mechanical aptitude for understanding the limits of plant equipment (a strong asset).
 Strong analytical skills and factbased decisionmaking capability.
 Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels in a manufacturing environment (shop floor, supervisors, technical staff) as well as other departments (marketing, etc.).
 The ability to translate complex problems into simple language.
 The ability to travel nationally and work flexible hours as required.
 Some travel as required ~20% (coast to coast within Canada).
 Bilingual in French is an asset.
