Description:

MedCare Clinics, a multi-specialty medical clinic in the GTA, is seeking a Clinical Assistant to join their team. The clinic's mission is to provide exceptional medical care to the community through family practice and walk-in clinic services. The Clinical Assistant will work under the supervision of qualified Family Physicians in a dynamic, team-based environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient care in a Family Medicine & Walk-In Clinic setting under Physician supervision
  • Perform physical exams, order diagnostic tests, and prescribe treatments
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals for coordinated care
  • Maintain accurate patient records using EMR systems
  • Educate patients on preventive care and treatment options
  • Ensure compliance with medical regulations and safety protocols

    • Qualifications:

  • MD or MDBS Program completion
  • Passing grade of QE1, NAC Exam, or USMLE Step 1 & Step 2 Exams
  • Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in urgent care
  • International Medical Graduate with Clinical Assistant experience
  • EMR (Accuro) experience preferred

    • Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

    • Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 25 -- 50 per week
    Experience:
    * US or UK Exams Passed: 1 year (preferred)
    * Accuro EMR: 1 year (preferred)
    * MCQ1 or Equivalent: 1 year (preferred)
    * Clinical Assistant: 1 year (preferred)
    Work Location: In person
