We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team at Glen Hill Medical. In this vital role, you will support clinical operations by assisting physicians with various clinical and non-clinical tasks, ensuring seamless patient care and efficient medical workflows. Your expertise in medical procedures, patient service, and healthcare systems will contribute to delivering exceptional care experiences. Responsibilities

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and verifying insurance information
  • Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates accurately
  • Support clinical procedures by preparing equipment, assisting during examinations, and managing specimen collection
  • Maintain detailed documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • Monitor patient status during treatment or observation, including administering medications under supervision when appropriate
  • Following up with referrals sent to specialists

    • Qualifications

  • Prior experience in family physician clinic an asset
  • Knowledge of Accuro EMR and typical physician workflows an asset
  • Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology to support patient assessments and procedures
  • Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments
