Bayshore Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Manager for their Transitional Care Unit in Ottawa to lead operations and support a team of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support front-line staff to ensure care delivery aligns with provincial legislation, professional standards, and Bayshore policies.
Oversee clinical operations, patient assessments, care plans, treatments, and follow-ups.
Collaborate with the team to implement patient satisfaction initiatives and resolve patient concerns.
Liaise with hospital partners, funders, and government programs for coordinated care.
Lead recruitment, training, and performance management processes.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and infection control protocols.
Monitor Key Performance Indicators and conduct audits to evaluate unit performance.
Support business development initiatives and participate in strategic planning.
Coordinate staff cross-training and maintain databases with patient and staff information.
Engage in professional development activities and contribute to a positive team culture.
Qualifications:
Nursing diploma from an accredited program; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in Ontario.
5-10 years of progressive healthcare experience.
Strong communication skills and proficiency in English.
Knowledge of medical terminology, patient care practices, and infection control.
Leadership style reflecting compassion, excellence, and reliability.
Experience in discharge planning and team-based care environments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business technologies.
