MedCare Clinics, a multi-specialty medical clinic in the Niagara Region, is dedicated to providing exceptional medical care to the community. The clinic offers family practice services, operates a walk-in clinic, and houses specialty Physicians in Internal Medicine. Services such as blood lab work, vaccinations, and flu shots are provided by trained Medical Office Assistants and Phlebotomists. MedCare Clinics is seeking a Clinical Assistant to join their team and work under the supervision of Family Physicians in a Family Medicine and Walk-In Clinic setting.
Responsibilities:
Provide patient care in a Family Medicine & Walk-In Clinic setting under Physician supervision.
Perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe treatments.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, x-rays, ultrasounds, etc.).
Collaborate with healthcare professionals for coordinated care.
Maintain accurate patient records using EMR systems.
Educate patients on preventive care and treatment options.
Ensure compliance with medical regulations and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
Completion of an MD or MDBS Program.
Passing grade of the QE1 and NAC Exam or USMLE Step 1 and/or Step 2 Exams.
Experience in a clinical or medical setting, preferably in a walk-in clinic or urgent care environment.
International Medical Graduate with extensive Clinical Assistant or independent practice experience.
EMR (Accuro) experience preferred.
Additional Requirements:
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
