Description:

The Clinical Quality Consultant position within the Integrated Quality Management (IQM) portfolio in Edmonton Zone offers the opportunity to work in various healthcare settings and collaborate with staff and leaders at all levels. The role involves providing leadership to promote a culture of continuous quality improvement and support clinical teams across the organization.

Reporting to the Manager, Quality and Patient Safety, the Clinical Quality Consultant is responsible for collaborating with stakeholders to drive culture change, influencing the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives, and facilitating the evaluation of service improvement, patient safety, and accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement, monitor, and evaluate quality improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications:

Baccalaureate Degree in a health care or related field

Minimum of 5 years of diverse clinical or managerial healthcare experience

Demonstrated leadership and team building skills

Ability to establish effective relationships and work independently or collaboratively

Additional Required Qualifications:

Experience in group facilitation techniques

Ability to research, monitor, and analyze data

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Connect Care

Self-directed with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in clinical field, business, or healthcare administration

Required Qualifications:Completion of a Baccalaureate Degree in a health care or health care related field is required (e.g. nursing, allied health discipline, human factors). Must be registered with an appropriate professional college. Minimum of 5 years of recent diverse (acute / community) clinical and/or managerial healthcare experience in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and team building skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships and to work both independently and interdependently.   
Additional Required Qualifications:Experience and skills in group facilitation techniques including of multidisciplinary teams of various sizes. Ability to research, monitor, and analyze data for use in decisionmaking and recommendations. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing. Must be able to work in multiple work settings in person and virtually (e.g. acute care site, administrative sites, rural sites). Proficiency with computer skills in Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and Connect Care. Selfdirected and able to work with minimal supervision. Welldeveloped critical thinking skills and ability to problemsolve. Demonstrated ability to lead change in a complex environment based on sound principles, such as PROSCI, Institute of HealthCare Improvement (IHI) and Alberta Improvement Way (AIW). Demonstrated, comfort with decision making.

Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in clinical field, business or healthcare administration.
