Job Description RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du QuΓ©bec - SantΓ© (FRQS).

Position Summary Department / Research Program: Allergy & Immunology / Eosinophilic Esophagitis Clinic

The incumbent will be involved with clinical research in allergy and more specifically eosinophilic esophagitis. Document and data management is an essential part of this position. The incumbent will work closely with research team, EoE physicians as well as with allergy nurses mainly on various study protocols.

General Duties

  • Perform data entry,
  • Ensures follow-up of patient information,
  • Completes source documents,
  • Identify potential patients and obtain their consent,
  • Completes patient questionnaires,
  • Reviews patient charts,
  • Collaborates and assists team members and sponsors' representatives, as needed,
  • Contacts patients and their families as needed,
  • Complies with Good clinical practice standards (GCP),
  • Completes and maintains up-to-date specific trainings,
  • Completes of all other connected tasks as assigned by supervisor.
  • Education / Experience

    Education: Diploma of College Studies (DEC)

    Field of Study: Health science

    Other education considered an asset for this position: BSc in health science

    Work Experience: Experience in research will be considered an asset

    Required Skills

  • Excellent French and English, spoken and written,
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
  • Ability to work independently or with teams with minimum supervision,
  • Demonstrate diplomacy, discretion and good judgment,
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).
  • Additional information

    Status: Temporary, full time (35-hour workweek)

    Pay Scale: $44,408.00 - $82,427.80/year. Commensurate with education and experience

    Work Shift: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm

    Work Site: Hybrid
