This job posting is for a Clinical Research Coordinator II position within the Michael Cuccione Childhood Cancer Research Program in the Department of Paediatrics at the University of British Columbia. The individual will be responsible for executing clinical protocols, supporting the Clinical Trials Unit Manager, and training staff. The role involves working closely with physicians and staff in the CRA office and Oncology clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
Manages and coordinates daily operations of clinical trials
Onboards, supervises, and trains staff in clinical research protocol management
Develops and implements projects, procedures, and standards in clinical research protocol management
Oversees, coordinates, and conducts complex clinical studies and trials
Maintains accuracy, accessibility, and confidentiality of study records
Attends conferences and meetings related to the role
Demonstrates communication and behavior that facilitates positive attitudes toward participation in clinic research
Performs other related duties as required
Qualifications:
Completion of a university degree in a relevant discipline and a minimum of four years of related experience
Willingness to respect diverse perspectives and demonstrate a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
Knowledge of medical terminology and patient record systems
Experience with Pediatric oncology is an asset
Computer literacy, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and work independently or within a team
Proficiency in English language, willingness to learn new software, and physical ability to do the job
SoCRA certification (CCRP) recommended or can be supported by the CTU
