This job posting is for a Clinical Research Coordinator II position within the Michael Cuccione Childhood Cancer Research Program in the Department of Paediatrics at the University of British Columbia. The position involves executing clinical protocols, supporting the Clinical Trials Unit Manager, and training staff. The individual will work closely with physicians and staff in the CRA office and Oncology clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate daily operations of clinical trials
Supervise and train staff in clinical research protocol management
Develop training plans aligned with Good Clinical Practice
Modify study-related documentation and procedures
Oversee complex clinical studies and trials
Maintain accuracy and confidentiality of study records
Liaise with collaborators and research personnel
Attend conferences and meetings as needed
Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications:
University degree in a relevant discipline and four years of related experience
Commitment to enhancing awareness of equity, diversity, and inclusion
Knowledge of medical terminology and patient record systems
Experience with Pediatric oncology is an asset
Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality
Proficient in English language, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Physical ability to perform the job duties
SoCRA certification (CCRP) recommended or can be supported by the CTU
