The Harquail Centre for Neuromodulation at Sunnybrook Research Institute, fully affiliated with the University of Toronto, is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator (MSW, MEd Counselling, or MA/MSc) for a clinical trial involving psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy. The coordinator will provide research study coordination, support, preparatory psychotherapy, and integration sessions to study participants. The therapist will structure integration sessions, collect research data, schedule visits, assist with documentation, and ensure regulatory compliance.

About the Hurvitz Brain Sciences program at Sunnybrook Research Institute (SRI): The program investigates neurological disorders across mood, dementia, and stroke. It takes a multidisciplinary approach to develop treatments, drug therapies, and rehabilitation strategies for brain disorders.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A master's degree in social work, clinical psychology, or counselling psychology
  • Registered with a regulatory body in Ontario
  • Knowledge of Major Depressive Disorder and related disorders
  • Experience interacting with people living with psychological disorders
  • Commitment to client-centered care
  • Excellent counselling and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Good Clinical Practice and/or clinical research trials preferred
  • Experience in psychedelic-assisted therapy an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Interest in psychiatric research and helping those with clinical depression
  • Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to study protocol execution
  • Provide clinical research support for neuromodulation research
  • Liaise with investigators and study staff
  • Contribute to educational material and research dissemination
  • Assist with day-to-day study operations
  • Establish rapport with study participants
  • Work independently and collaboratively with team members
